13 - Violence
“What?”
”That’s a lie”
It was impossible. Tom couldn’t comprehend what he had heard.
He would never have imagined that two full grown adults could be so violent. In front of their own children.
It felt like a horror story. But it was there. A video being replayed on Sam’s phone.
Tom was in shock. And he kept quiet.
He couldn’t really understand how people could be so violent. That they tried to portray a completely different image of themselves in front of people in society.
And Sam was a part of the scam. Because she would also lie. About what had happened to her parents. It would be years, when Tom would learn of the real truth.
Why such a toxic family functioned in a hypocritical way. And why they would lie and make things up. And why they would be so violent.
Because they were inherent liars. Shameless and corrupt. With zero respect for others.
Not afraid of the consequences.
They were only afraid of saving their own skin. And why on earth would Sam be any different? Because admitting the truth would have meant that she would have had to own up to all her lies and scams.
TBC.
She lost it now. The opportunity to have a genuinely happy life for once was completely wasted by Sam and her family.
Their greed for money, their appetite for violence and ego. It was impossible for them to be normal. Sam could’ve gotten out of it.
But as Tom would later realise. Sam was the biggest fraud out of all of them. And the most violent. She would be violent like her father and would play the shameless victim card like her mother.
Money mattered to this perverted family. But people didn’t.
People didn’t matter. But funnily their things did.
