Saad Islam was born in 1994 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Saad is a 4-time bestselling author, Artificial Intelligence PhD researcher, computer engineer, and faculty.

In December 2021, at 27, Saad became the youngest Bangladeshi to be selected for the PhD in Artificial Intelligence program with full scholarship at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia.

In July 2019, at 25, Saad was the youngest Bangladeshi writer to have his book, Legend, reach the top 10 bestseller list in the English fiction genre in Bangladesh. Saad’s 2nd book, “Dreaming Raindrops” reached the Top 3 Best Sellers List in its category in Bangladesh in 2021.

Saad’s 3rd book “How to become a successful student” became the no.1 bestselling educational book (in English) in 2021. It continued to be the no.1 bestselling book in its category for 3 years from 2021 till 2023. Saad’s 4th book, “Kibhabe Shera Chatro Hobey” reached the top 15 bestselling list in 2022.

Saad completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering with First Class Honours from North South University in 2019. He completed his Master’s Degree with scholarship, with a double specialisation in Business, Management & Organisations and in Marketing from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia in 2021.

Saad is an Alumnus of Mastermind School and Maple Leaf Int. School and was active in club and social work throughout his academic life. He consistently ranked as one of the top students in the whole school, and was member of the Mastermind Debate Club, Community Services Club and Sports Club. Saad scored World Highest marks in mathematics in his A Levels when he was at Maple Leaf Int. School. He was also a member of Maple Leaf Int. School’s Writer’s Club, Football Club, Green Club, and Taekwondo Club, holding a Blue Belt in Taekwondo.

At North South University, Saad was a Teaching Assistant for 2 years. And served as the Head Designer of IEEE NSU Student Branch (INSB), and was founder of WuperBooks.org. He was the youngest person, at 25, to be selected by North South University as a distinguished Alumnus and was featured on North South University’s official website and OEA in 2020.

At Macquarie University, Saad was a member of Macquarie University Writer’s Club, Bangladeshi Students Association, and also served as the Mac Sync Developer for the Macquarie University Philanthropy Club. Saad was selected as a Unit Representative at Macquarie University in his final year.

Saad enjoys reading, working with artificial intelligence, playing football, and travelling to different countries.
